On February 11, 2023, Yok Don National Park cooperated with the Tay Nguyen Highschool to organize a nature experience program for 43 students.
Through this program, the students received a lot of practical knowledge about biodiversity, and wildlife conservation, especially elephants, the symbol of the Central Highlands.
Various practical activities:
- Learning about Yok Don's dipterocarp forest ecosystem: Understanding more about the importance of forests and forest protection, understanding the resources that forests bring to people (natural disaster prevention, precious medicinal herbs, conservation, genetic resources, .etc)
- Visit the animal rescue center: Learn the essence of rescue work and stories of some animals being rescued at Yok Don, and better understand why wild animals should not be kept as pets.
- Experience the herbal garden: Learn about the healing effects of common herbs, and understand that they can completely replace animal products, especially bear bile, helping to reduce illegal hunting and captive of wild animals.
- Garbage collection activities at places frequented by people help restore the forest's pristine look.
We hope that the students' spirit of love of nature always be maintained so they can protect their future.
